Giving the gift of residency

Earlier this year we started the process of getting Yoshiko a residency visa for Canada. The first step was for me to apply as her sponsor. Included with this application was her paperwork, under the assumption my application would be approved.

Last week the CIC responded to me that my application was reviewed and approved, virtually assuring us that her visa would eventually be issued. We will likely need to wait another year for the visa. It was interesting timing since Yoshiko was in Canada at the time the notification was received. She is thrilled by the positive news and I am delighted to give her this gift of a future life in Canada.
