FarmAde
Tonight I did a couple of hours of volunteer work at the UBC Farm's 17th Annual Farm Aid.
Started as a student-led, grassroots movement to save the UBC Farm from development, FarmAde is a celebration of the UBC Farm, and has grown into one of the largest annual events at UBC. Food trucks, square dancing and interaction with students and neighbors.
Despite the on/off rain all week, the skies cleared and it was a perfect late summer evening.
My efforts were limited to hauling straw bales to the field as seating and erecting a couple of tents. And rewarded with some cold pizza. Ahh... UBC.
