Christmas Eve 2013

Last week I arrived in Edmonton to assist with the introduction of additional care for my parents. All arranged on very short notice and a great leap-of-faith. Bitterly cold weather and snow awaited me. I spent many long days running errands, coordinating services and, of course, spending time with my parents.

By the time Christmas Eve arrived (my final day in Edmonton), I had enjoyed dinner with them but tired and ready to go home. Not much into the Christmas spirit, I decided to spend the rest of the evening in my hotel room with a bottle of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc and a fireplace on the television. Christmas is often where you look for it.

Happy Holidays!
