Snow in Tokyo this weekend

Roughly a year ago the Tokyo area was hit with a significant (and improperly forecasted) snowfall that brought the city to a standstill. We mistakenly went out in our car to a movie and ended up abandoning our car at the side of the road since the streets were impassible.

This weekend we had the heaviest snowfall in 16 years but at least we knew about it in advance. Yoshiko returned from Canada just before the snow started and I stocked up the house for the weekend. Safely inside, we enjoyed a quiet weekend of reading, watching TV and grazing.

Of course no true Canadian can resist the chance to go outside and play in the snow.
