Today was the opening day in Japan for the movie, "All Is Lost", starring Robert Redford. I went to see the first screening of the day in downtown Tokyo.
Part of the reason to see the film was to confront my own "fear" of being alone and lost at sea. I am a strong swimmer and plenty of experience sailing on the ocean. But I have enough sense to respect the power of nature.
This is a terrific movie, especially considering there is almost no dialogue and only one actor (although some might argue the yacht and the ocean are supporting actors). I can understand why RR was the one and only choice for this role.
