Today I took my 94-year old father to Saskatoon to his alma mater, the University of Saskatchewan, for the first of a series of lectures funded by my parents' donation to the University. To make the trip as easy as possible on him, we flew him by private jet.

The speaker for the lecture today was Grant Imahara, formerly a cast member of the show, Mythbusters, and engineering graduate. He gave a very interesting and inspiring talk to the students. I think it was the perfect choice for that generation. My father also made a brief speech at the beginning of the lecture.

I could sense my father was very happy to have made the trip 71 years after his graduation.
