I love wines with screw caps. In fact, I will often choose a bottle of wine because it has one. Most of the wines I drink are made ready to be drunk. They simply aren't required to be cellared. And, frankly speaking, once opened they are unlikely to be sealed up for another day.

I enjoy being able to open a bottle of wine without a set of tools. Nothing is more frustrating than drilling down into a dry cork and having it break halfway out of the bottle. I'm waiting!

As for sparkling wines, the cork is part of the experience. Like a screw cap, I don't need tools, just my hands. WIth a nicely chilled bottle of Krug, the "pop" of the tightly sealed cork coming out of the bottle says, "Let the celebration begin".
