Vancouver Martini
During my time here this month I have been pursuing a couple of projects. Neither urgent nor important was to get my act together for a decent martini. However I did find myself at a favorite spirits store this week and saw they had Riedel martini glasses for sale. The store manager and I engaged in a conversation about the glasses and martinis. This lead to his explanation of the growing market for locally produced spirits in the Vancouver
area. The goverment is providing incentives to distillers to use BC agricultural products and I was amazed at the offerings in the store.
This weekend I tested a sample of The Liberty Distillery Endeavour Gin in a simple martini. Good and floral but not remarkable. But pleased to see what is being done locally. And the glass is great.
