Engine Data

I recently discovered an interesting feature on our new Mercedes AMG C63 S. I was digging through the menus in the infotainment center and found something labeled as "Engine Data". Selecting it brings up three virtual gauges on the center display. Cool.

It didn't take me long to understand the left gauge is the engine oil temperature and the right gauge measures transmission fluid temperature. In the center are two gauges, the outer one is boost pressure of the twin turbochargers, and the inner gauge is the horsepower output. The car's engine is advertised as 510 bhp.

BTW, this feature is not included in the owner's manual.

One of the more interesting observations while driving and watching these gauges is how little horsepower is required for daily driving. I don't think I have see the gauge pass 150 hp and only with spirited acceleration.

Tell me again why I need a car with 510 bhp?
