Opening up the view
Today I took down the curtains and valances covering and surrounding our living room windows. Frankly, they were poorly installed (held up with velcro!) and adding nothing to the decor. In our quest to achieve a simpler design profile in the condo, this seemed like the right thing to do.
We were amazed at how much more light comes into the condo now and the improvements to the view outside. The next step will be to clean up the ceiling where the curtain rails were and (probably) paint the ceiling.
