"Strike One" for the Patio
With the warm weather approaching I have turned my attention to getting the outdoor patio ready. Roughly a month ago we had the foresight to order some patio furniture and we expect it to be delivered next week. I also ordered a patio heater in anticipation of some cool evenings before and after the summer season.
It was delivered this week and I set out to assemble it. The instructions were terribly poorly written. The order of assembly was wrong, the included part list confusing and lots of spelling mistakes. "Samll bolts"? I could see someone without a creative and adpative mind would easily give up in frustration.
I was about 70% through the assembly when I noticed the height of the heater was noticably close to the ceiling of the patio, It was something I failed to take into consideration when I ordered the heater. I contacted the manufacturer by phone and it was a couple of inches (Arizona-based company) too high for their recommendations.
This morning I dismantled the heater and carefully repacked it into the shipping box. I purchased it from Costco so I can easily return it. I will need to commit time to research ideas for a replacement.
