Yoshiko's first bike in Canada

This afternoon we got a call from the bike shop saying Yoshiko's bike on order had arrived. I rode my bike to the shop while Yoshiko took the bus and met me there. We also got her a helmet (required by law here), gloves, clothing, a bell, a lock and some glasses. We rode home on the bikes together and Yoshiko got a quick geography lesson. Namely that UBC sits above the rest of Vancouver. Not steep hills but it took some effort to get up the grade and onto level trails. But a pleasant day to be out on a bike for a ride.
