Giving up on the Apple Watch

Today I shut down the power on my Apple Watch and put it away in a drawer for now. I've owned the Watch, a basic Sports Watch with a black strap, for about seven months but it just failed to ever capture my passions.

To be sure it is an intriguing piece of hardware coupled with a confusing complement of software. It is convenient in many cases to receive notifications without having to access one's phone. But it is not a piece of jewelry in the way I want a watch to be.

I am going back to enjoying my small collections of timepieces with mechanical drives and just one function: telling me the time as I enjoy my life.
