Spago at 20

Today was Spago's 20th birthday. He didn't seem interested in a special celebration but instead the usual long sleep in the morning and some tasty foods. And some TLC from both of us.

Spago arrived in Tokyo in January 1997 from Long Beach, CA where he was born a few months earlier. I am still amazed we didn't think much of sending a three-month old kitten on a trans-Pacific flight. He has shared many of our adventures over the years including three different residences in Tokyo and two here in Vancouver.

Earlier this week we took him to his vet for a regularly scheduled check up. She checked his blood pressure and, seeing no health issues, suggested we bring him back in January.
