An evening with Jake
For the second time this week we attended a concert at the nearby Chan Centre. This evening we enjoyed the amazing Hawaiian-born ukulele player, Jake Shimabukuro. It was his final concert for 2016.
He put on a first-rate show of his works in jazz, blues, funk, rock, bluegrass, classical and folk featuring his fast and complex finger work on the ukulele. All the better in the intimate and almost acoustically perfect music hall at the Chan Centre.
This was as close to Hawaii as we are likely to get this winter.
