One year in our condo
One year ago today we moved into our condo in Vancouver after a short but intense four-month search in late 2015. We had a wishlist of about ten attributes of the "ideal home" including concrete construction, a good view without being too high, space for guests, nature nearby, an open floor plan for entertaining and so on. We would have been satisfied with most if not all of these qualities.
Neither of us imagined we would find a home that not only met all of our wishes but exceeded them. I remember walking into the condo on November 11 for the first visit and immediately feeling like I had come home. Yoshiko gave me the thumbs up after the visit.
It has been an interesting year of settling into the condo, getting it furnished and shipping items from Tokyo. We have hosted many family and friends. There isn't a day that goes by when I am not thankful for this place.
