Spring gardening on the patio
I have been waiting patiently for spring to arrive in Vancouver so I could work on the gardening on our patio. Yesterday was a cool and rainy day so I used the opportunity to visit a nearby gardening store for supplies.
The palm on the patio did not survive the winter, despite assurances from the gardener last year it would stand up to "temperatures as low as -15°C". I bought a new palm ($) and some annuals for the smaller planters. It took some effort to get the dead palm out of the planter and my back was feeling it.
I think we are one step closer to summer now.
