Urgent care for infected thumb

By this morning it was clear my infected thumb was not getting better. Sensitive to touch, swollen and limited flexibility. I walked to the UBC Urgent Care Center where they gave me a tetanus shot. In a conversation with the doctor I said I couldn't be certain the infection came from a cat bite (thank you Spago) but felt it was the likely source.

I am now on penicillin for ten days. And a strong dose as infections from cats can be serious.
