Election Day in BC
Today is Election Day 2017 in British Columbia. I awoke early, had breakfast and walked to the nearest voting station, an elementary school nearby. It was probably a good idea to get there early as there were only a few other voters there. BC is a complex province and economy. I am not confident any of the candidates are able to manage all of the issues. I opted to vote for the local representative who I think will do the best job in our part of Vancouver.
It was my second time to vote since returning to Canada in 2017. Shortly after our arrival I was able to vote in the federal election and was pleased to have been a part of the process to bring Justin Trudeau to office.
I wasn't able to vote (for local politics) during my five years in California and twenty-three years in Japan. It feels good to participate again.
