My aunt's tree

Today I visited a tree planted in the memory of my aunt, Lorna Garrett, who passed away all too early more than thirty years ago. It is located in front of the Jericho Sailing Centre in Jericho Beach Park.

We visited my Uncle Michael who still lives in their house nearby and brought a Japanese bento lunch for him. After lunch we walked down to see the tree and a stroll along the beach. Many wild rabbits came out to greet us.

I have many memories of visiting my aunt when I was young and I think she would be happy to know we have settled nearby here in Vancouver.
