Point Grey Fiesta Parade

Point Grey is the adjoining district to where we live and it is where we do much of our shopping and other activities. Today was the start of their annual Fiesta, which goes on throughout the weekend.

It was kicked off this morning with a parade along 10th Avenue. Yoshiko and I went early and joined many other residents to watch the parade. A formation of police motorcycles, a few bands and many local organizations and businesses participated. A small hometown sort of feeling to it but it made me thankful to be back in Canada and part of the neighborhood.
