Today's bike ride

I had a memorable bike ride this afternoon after the skies cleared and the temperatures rose to somewhat closer to seasonable normals. After all, today is the last day of spring and summer starts at 9:24 PM tonight.

A quick ride through UBC and past our previous residence at Hampton Place. I rode on through the trails in Pacific Spirit Park and made my way down to the trails adjacent to Marine Drive.

From there I headed west along the Old Marine Drive en route to the UBC Botanical Gardens. I spotted the entrance to Wreck Beach and decided to park my bike and make the walk down to the beach. A steep stairway but worthwhile to experience. More naked men at the beach than a YMCA.

I made a quick stop at the Botanical Gardens and purchased two lily plants for home. They just barely fit into my bike's carrier.
