Robot cleaning at home

This week we took delivery of an iRobot vacuum cleaner. I unpacking it this morning and gave it a charge for several hours. Next I let it go for a cleaning run on its own.
I think both of us (the robot and I) have some learning to do yet but I was amazed at the amount of dirt it collected. It spent a lot of time under our beds where I suspect much of the dirt was waiting to be removed.
I am not sure if our cat is interested in riding on it (I doubt it) but so far it is proving to be a useful part of our cleaning routine at home.
