Arrogance in doctors in Vancouver
When we were planning to move to Vancouver we were warned it could be a challenge to find a family doctor. There are a shortage of them due to the medical system here. The good ones do not accept new patients. Neither do the bad ones. Many people are forced to visit walk-in clinics without appointments.
We were fortunate to be referred to the head doctor at a downtown clinic. Yoshiko wasn't fond of him from the beginning but we managed to get her transferred over to a female doctor within the same organization.
Today I made an appointment to see my family doctor next week. The SMS confirmation makes it seems as though I won some sort of lucky lottery to see him.
