The floors are finally finished
It is almost a month since we started on our flooring project. It sounded simple enough. An almost 2,000 sq ft condo... tear up the wood floors and put down Italian porcelain tiles. The contractor said it would take five days.
After repeated delays, sporadic work schedules and a miscalculation about the number of tiles required ("Hello Italy!")... the work on the floor itself was completed late this afternoon. A final inspection is still required but so far it appears the tradesman did an excellent job. Now comes the wait for someone to come and install the baseboards and transition flooring between tiles and carpeting.
Tomorrow is cleaning day and getting the furniture out of storage. The patio is overdue for a power washing and summer preparations.
I hope this cough I have picked up recently is not a result of the dust from cutting tiles!
