Local Japanese Izakaya

This evening we headed out for dinner at a nearby Thai restaurant only to discover it was closed. Instead we dropped by a local Japanese izakaya that Yoshiko wanted to try. We arrived before 6PM but it was already quite full. It is clearly a popular place for locals.

All of the staff spoke Japanese and some influence from the Kansai region. The initial free appetizer of cut cabbage with dressing was delicious. The rest of the dishes were enjoyable and served quickly but hardly spectacular.

It is on our list of places to return to... but the next time we will make reservations and expect a very casual meal.
