Tofino comes home
Yes, it is Friday the 13th. We arose early for breakfast in Olympia, WA and drove to Elma to fetch our puppy.
We spent a short amount of time with the parents, the other puppies and paid the balance to the breeder. I was anxious to get on the road as early as possible to avoid the possible traffic issues later in the day. Especially after yesterday's drive.
Tofino cried loudly during the first fifteen minutes of the drive. After all, this was her first time to be away from her parents, siblings and the farm. Shortly thereafter she fell asleep in Yoshiko's arms.
We hit a few pockets of traffic around Tacoma and Seattle but generally full speed ahead throughout the journey. At the Canadian border we waited about 40 minutes and then paid GST on the puppy purchase.
We arrived home, I returned the rental car and we helped our newest family member settle into her new home.
Welcome home Tofino!
