Donating blood again

I try to donate blood on a scheduled basis, especially since coming to Vancouver. For the 23 years I lived in Japan, they wouldn't take my donation. That's another story.

Today was my fourth attempt to donate after the previous three were rejected. The reasons were 1) Shingles vaccination, 2) recent travel to Japan (??) and 3) low hemoglobin/high blood pressure. After the third attempt I visited my doctor, who could find nothing wrong but put me on iron supplements.

The nurse this morning ran the usual tests and everything is back to normal.
