Tofino's operation
Today Tofino went for her spay and neutering operation. Everything went exactly as planned and we are so happy to have her home now. She is very tired and has a slow recovery ahead for the next two weeks.
We arose early and took her to the vet clinic after she had to forego breakfast. What?? For weeks in advance we took Tofino to the clinic for short visits. The staff fed her treats and played with her so she understand it is a good place to visit. Today we learned Tofino would be the only patient at the clinic so we had all the attention and care.
Around noon the vet called to say the operation went well and Tofino was resting. We picked her up later in the afternoon, received post-surgery care instructions and brought her home.
She had a microchip installed while "out of it" and, although I requested it, her nails did not require trimming.
The next couple of days will be interesting.
