Puppy Classes for Tofino
This morning we started a six-week course in dog training, "Basic Manners" for Tofino (and us). The one-hour classes are taught nearby UBC by Sarah of Rocket Dog, a trainer who has been working privately with us.
What a difference with this class compared to the community center classes we took last fall. Sarah is an experienced trainer and conducts the class to the maximum benefit of the dogs and owners.
Dog training is not easy. You need to be focused, consistent and patient. In order to train a dog, you first need to train the owners. We are encouraged by OUR progress and, of course, the progress being shown by Tofino.
