Tofino at dog class

Tofino and her parents attended the weekly dog training class this morning. Next week is the final class. While each of her classmates are a different age, breed and development stage, all of them are learning quickly. The base of learning is "attention". The dog must learn to focus its attention on the owner.
For the past few weeks we have been working on "Come!", "Let's go!" and "Stay" as part of walking together. Recently we have attempted it (indoors and separately from the other dogs) off-leash. Very much hit-and-miss for all of the dogs.
Today Tofino was almost perfect. Off-leash she remained focused on me, started and and stopped on command and came to a sitting position when asked to "stay". I joked with the trainer that we had exchanged our dog since last week with a new one.
Good girl Tofino!
