Picking Blueberries
Today at the UBC Farm we started picking blueberries, after completing the strawberry harvest last week. The blueberries were a little early this year and a good abundance of them waiting for us.
I'd say the bushes were a little deceiving. Lots of berries with good color but many were still a little young. Also, we seem to be getting conflicting instructions from the staff. "Pick all you can"... "just pick the very ripe ones"... and sometimes "pick and separate the damages berries".
