Concert at The Chan Centre
We frequently attend performances at the nearby Chan Centre here at UBC. It is close enough for us to walk, often leaving home at 7:15 pm to attend a 7:30 pm performance. We often joke we live close enough to return home during the intermissions.
Performances are very popular and the main concert hall seats only about 1300 people.
Tonight featured the UBC Chamber Orchestra with a number of soloists. I guess it was due to it being the middle of summer but the hall was only about 15% full. Most of us were seated "front and center" and no other seats occupied. Even the lobby seemed deserted during intermission.
Regardless, it was a great evening in our wonderful neighborhood at UBC.
