Homemade pickled asparagus


I like pickles. I especially like the Kaylin & Hobbs Pickles made locally in Vancouver. But I always worry about what to do with the pickle juice left over when the pickles are consumed.

Today I tried something new. I bought some fresh asparagus, soaked them in a brine and then boiled them quickly in a vinegar/water mixture... before cooling them and storing them in the brine from some pickles.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
