I have been attending UBC Hockey games this fall after purchasing a season pass. The home games are played at the nearby Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre.
Watching hockey reminded me that I haven't been out on my own skates for some time. Today I rode my bike over the arena, wearing my hockey helmet and skates slung around my neck. I enjoyed an hour on the ice with only a couple of students also skating.
A little unsteady at first but it all came back quickly to this prairie boy.
