Selling my car
Today I sold my car in preparation for our move to Vancouver later this week. I bought this Mercedes-Benz S500 in 2007, my third car in Japan. I kept it longer than any other car and it was a comfortable, dependable and enjoyable vehicle.
Don't get me starting on the resale price. Used cars in Japan are hard to sell and command little value. To me a car is nothing more than a liability and this car gave us eight years of good service.
Large luxury cars feature a comfortable ride and it was always a pleasure to return the S-Class after driving a rental car, etc. Yet it never gave me a sense of passionate driving that I had in my BMW's.
I don't know what we will buy once in Vancouver but I think it will need to be smaller and more sportier.
Oh well, thanks to this car for its years of service and for always surrounding us with a sense of safety and security.
