Spago and I alone
Yoshiko is in Tokyo this month and Spago are keeping each other company. It isn't a case of me just taking care of him. We take care of each other. He needs twice daily medicines; five in the morning and six at night, plus an injection of subcutaneous fluids every morning.
He doesn't like the process of taking medications since I need to cradle him and force open his mouth to drop in the pills and capsules. This is evidenced by the bite I received over the weekend that lead to an infection.
However, he seems okay and cooperative with the injection of 120 ml of potassium-spiked LRS I give him after breakfast every morning. Never in my life did I think I could give injections to an animal on my own.
