Missing Spago

This has been a difficult week following the loss of Spago on Monday evening. I have tried to stay busy with various projects but my mind always wanders back to my little buddy. And it brings on some strong emotions.

I started off the day with a visit to Spago's veterinarian clinic to deliver the news and give them a gift in appreciation of their support, compassion and care over the past two and a half years. Earlier in the week when I told others the news, I found myself struggling to get the words out. During the preceding days to the vet visit, I rehearsed the words over and over, hoping they would come out without an excess of emotion.

We were very touched when later in the day a bouquet of flowers was delivered from the clinic.
